Effectively a white sails race under most conditions.
The series with the shortest races and with one of the best turnouts (particularly in Class 2 where more than 20 boats compete in the series). You would think that the sailing committees of both clubs might draw the obvious conclusion, but sailing committees have far more important things to do than to put on more series which people actually enjoy. Course variations are the omission of Beach Rock buoy (course 2) and the omission of both the Diamond buoy and St.Aubins Racing Mark (course 3). Courses 2 and 3 are rarely used. The latter is for use in conditions close to a flat calm. |
